The telescope with quickly move west and north a bit and then slowly continue north and east until it hits its home switches. If it does not find the switches it will time out with a warning the the messages field.

+Start TheSky Professional Edition (64 bit).
+On the left side of the window, click Dome. Click the Connect button. Click the Unpark Dome button. Click the Find Home button. On the left side of the window again, click Telescope. click the Startup dropdown menu. Click the Connect Telescope option. On the left side of the window again, click Find. In the Search for: bar, type in a bright star in the sky (Vega, Altair, etc....). Click the Find button. Click Slew. Center the object in the finder scope and the primary eyepiece. Return to the left side of the window, click the Startup dropdown menu and click Star Synchronization. Click the Sync button. Point to a different bright object. The telescope should align the star in the middle of the eyepiece.
 **NOTE: If the telescope was not brought up properly or was not in the [[startup_procedure#"Park" Telescope|Park]] position, it will move quickly move PAST home (because it thinks it is somewhere other than the park position). Cancel the Home Seek and freak out. Call Travis once you calm down a bit or repeats the start up procedure again more slowly.
