In the Search for: bar, type in a bright star in the sky (Vega, Altair, etc....). Click the Find button. Click Slew. Center the object in the finder scope and the primary eyepiece. Return to the left side of the window, click the Startup dropdown menu and click Star Synchronization. Click the Sync button. Point to a different bright object. The telescope should align the star in the middle of the eyepiece.
