1. turn off the dome fan
2. stow telescope (using “Stow” button in the VATT TCS/IF gui)
3. disable drives (“Disable drives” in the TCS “mount control” view) NB: only when telescope is balanced, i.e., before closing mirror cover! - close the mirror cover (“Close M-Cover”) - close the dome shutter (“Close Slit”) - turn off autocollimation (VGAG–>“Secondary” menu) - turn off the mirror thermal system (TCS “thermal” view “Off”) - turn off the mirror cell fans (“Cell Fans Off” in TCS “mount control”) - in XEphem, disable “running” in the telescope control window and close
   it, then exit the “Sky View” window, then at the bottom of the main XEphem window hit “Stop”, then exit XEphem altogether.
4. exit the VGAG window and the square TCS window; leave the TCS/IF gui
   open if you want to keep reading UT during subsequent calibrations
5. turn off the guider, finder, and all-sky monitors

1. turn off the power amplifiers for derotator, azimuth, elevation and
   dome.

1. turn off the NESLAB (almost close the valve before switching off)

1. turn off the oil system by first turning off the knob labeled #2, then
   pushing in the mushroom button labeled #1.
2. turn off the pier and building fans, then turn off the light.

1. close the finder cover
2. unplug the finder power adapter
3. turn off the SBIG camera
4. unplug the dome power (yellow plug)
5. connect the grounding wire (from the mirror cell to dewar as indicated)
   then fill the dewar
6. let the rubber hose thaw, then remove needle from dewar, disconnect the
   grounding wire (dewar side first), and move LN2 tank out of the way.
7. (put in the stow pins in case of a full shutdown)
8. (put in the dome short in case of a full shutdown)
9. check that the West door is locked, turn off the fluorescent lights

1. turn off the incandescent telescope flood light.
2. lock the doors to both balconies.
3. turn off all lights.
