MAESTRO Cabinet
at the MMT

April 18, 2013

A MAESTRO storage cabinet is located in the Common building, in the downstairs lab, in the back room through the double doors to the left as you enter from the outside.

Since MAESTRO is currently downtown (4/2013) the contents of the cabinet are mostly downtown with it.

Items in the MAESTRO Cabinet:
Cargille Oil used to oil large triplet in the camera/collimator.
Witness triplet:  small triplet constructed in the identical way to the triplet in the camera/collimator.  Kept on the mountain to monitor clarity of oil, integrity of the rubber seals, etc.
Spare electronics, xy stage, motors

Normally kept in cabinet:
Spare Th-Ar and Quartz lamps in plastic box
Plastic box to store grating cover when spectrograph is in use
Spare slits
CCD dewar fill hardware
Blue Ammo boxes of hardware
